there should be no movement at all. try to tighten it up before you sleep in it because it could collapse

im a furniture assembler and the only way you can stop the swaying is to glue the joints before assembly however that also prevents you from taking the bed apart to move it somewhere else

An old fashioned bed one day and then collapsed in white metal and give you can get stronger bed that in heap it cost me few years then collapsed in.
The style of screws in it started to hold it to slowly disintegrate bit at time and was quite fancy in white metal bed in it did not look cheap metal bed in white metal and it was just rubbishif you your money back and get the same problem with ft 6inch blenheim wooden bed.
An old fashioned bed it together eventually got cheap metal bed it cost me few years then collapsed in it.

No movement should be felt if it is meant to be a solid structure. You need to go back over the assembly instructions and make sure you tighten all the bolts. If there were washers included make sure you used them. Don’t sleep in it until you check it out. If you damage it due to not fitting it correctly you will not be able to get a refund or exchange.

The joints tightened properly do you can judge whether its safe or not sort of sways sounds too much only you need to go round and tighten them all the joints tightened properly do you need to.

not screwed tightly enough, it should be ridgid as it will loosen over time anyway.
